The remains of Nigeria’s former President, Muhammadu Buhari, have arrived at the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua International Airport in Katsina State, ahead of his burial in Daura.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that reports that the body of the late President was flown into Nigeria aboard the Nigerian presidential aircraft from London on Tuesday morning. He passed away on July 13, 2025, in the United Kingdom at the age of 82.
Vice President Kashim Shettima, Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, and several members of Buhari’s family accompanied the body on the flight back to Nigeria.
Upon arrival, the late leader’s remains were received by the Governor of Katsina State, Dikko Umar Radda, alongside members of the state executive council. Also present at the airport were the Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, and other top dignitaries, who joined the late President’s relatives in paying their respects.
The body is being transported to Buhari’s hometown in Daura, Katsina State, where final burial rites will be conducted. He will be laid to rest after receiving full military honours, in line with national protocols for a former Head of State.
