According to Bamidele, the successful outcome of Saturday’s poll will ensure absolute continuity in executive administration, accelerating critical infrastructural developments and structural stability across the entire sub-national landscape.
Bamidele characterized the decisive electoral outcome as an essential indicator of a better, brighter, and greater future for the citizens of Ekiti State. He pointed out that prior to Oyebanji’s administration, the regional political scene was heavily fractured by deep partisan hostilities, bitter rivalries, and internal divisions.
However, through a deliberate and inclusive strategy, the governor managed to foster genuine peace, unity, and unprecedented cooperation among diverse stakeholders.
The Senate Leader specifically lauded the governor for maintaining incredibly cordial relations with all living former chief executives of the state, noting that such institutional harmony is remarkably rare in contemporary Nigerian politics.
Electoral history reveals that since the dawn of the Fourth Republic in 1999, the political ecosystem of Ekiti State had been trapped in a cyclical pattern where no sitting executive could secure immediate, consecutive re-election.
Past leaders routinely faced staggered tenures or electoral shifts that disrupted the institutional stability of the state.

Bamidele remarked that by shattering this 27-year succession jinx, Oyebanji has rewritten the democratic narrative of the state, proving that a humble, development-driven approach can effectively align the interests of everyday voters and elite political stakeholders alike.
He expressed deep confidence that the second term will firmly consolidate ongoing socio-economic reforms and establish the state as a prime national model for transparent public administration.
The Senate Leader concluded his message by offering profound appreciation to the people of Ekiti State for their exemplary, peaceful conduct throughout the intense voting process on Saturday.
He also extended high praise to the state and national leadership structures of the APC for providing robust campaign machinery that carried the party to a landslide victory.
According to official data declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission, Governor Oyebanji completely dominated the ballot box, polling an unassailable 319,224 votes to successfully defeat the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Wole Oluyede, who secured 40,543 votes, and Dare Bejide of the African Democratic Congress, who rounded up third with 12,872 votes.
