The party disclosed the development in a statement issued on Tuesday and jointly signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Ini Ememobong, and the National Organising Secretary, Theophilus Dakas Shan.
According to the statement, the latest amendment was approved by the Interim National Working Committee following increasing demands from aspirants seeking additional time to complete the nomination process.
The PDP, however, stressed that the newly released timetable would serve as the final adjustment, noting that the party must align its activities with the schedule released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Under the revised timetable, the last date for the submission of completed nomination forms has been fixed for May 22, 2026.
The party also scheduled special screening for aspirants who were unable to participate in the earlier exercise for May 23, 2026.
According to the timetable, screening appeals and publication of cleared aspirants will take place on May 25 and May 27 respectively, while primaries for all elective positions are expected to hold on May 28, 2026.
The statement read, “Arising from the increasing demands from aspirants and other stakeholders, the Interim National Working Committee has approved a further and FINAL amendment to the timetable for pre-nomination activities.”
The party urged all aspirants and members to comply strictly with the adjusted dates, warning that no further extension would be granted.

“All party members are advised to conform to this timetable as there would not be any further extension, due to the need to meet up with the electoral umpire’s schedule,” the statement added.
