EKO HOT BLOG reports that other notable participants included the Chairman of the party’s Board of Trustees, Senator Adolphus Wabara; former PDP Deputy National Chairman, Chief Olabode George; and former governors Olagunsoye Oyinlola of Osun, Sam Egwu of Ebonyi, and Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom.
Also at the summit were former Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Jumoke Akinjide; Dr. Ali Odefa; Chief Emma Ogidi; Hon. Nnena Ukeje, and Dr. Eddy Olafeso, among others.

The closed-door session, which began around 2:30 p.m., came amid growing controversy over the PDP’s zoning formula. Earlier in the day, some stakeholders from the South had described as illegal another zoning meeting reportedly scheduled to hold in Lagos.
Despite the disagreement, the consultative summit went ahead as planned. Shortly before deliberations began, journalists were asked to leave the hall to allow the leaders to proceed with private discussions.
The outcome of the Lagos meeting is expected to play a significant role in shaping the party’s strategy ahead of the 2027 general elections.
