Adamu cited the Atiku-Wike rift as proof of PDP’s weakness.
Former National Treasurer of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Fanda Adamu, has described the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as politically lifeless, saying the opposition party is like a “headless chicken” despite its latest attempts at repositioning.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Adamu made the remark on Wednesday during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, while reacting to the PDP’s decision to zone its 2027 presidential ticket to the South.
He dismissed the PDP’s chances in the next general elections, stressing that the party is a shadow of what it used to be. According to him, the unresolved feud between the party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, is further evidence of the PDP’s weakness.
“The PDP is dead. You know PDP now is just like a chicken whose head has been cut off. It can continue to wriggle but, you know, it’s dead. The head has been cut off. They are still wriggling,” Adamu said.
He further argued that the crisis within the party has reduced it to nothing more than the rivalry between Atiku and Wike.
“What is PDP? It’s Wike and Atiku. Atiku has left. Wike is one leg in, one leg out. So tell me, PDP, if they like, let them zone the presidency to the ocean, not to the South. They will never win,” he declared.

Adamu maintained that the APC remains the more formidable party ahead of 2027, insisting that the PDP’s internal conflicts will continue to erode its chances at reclaiming national power.
