EKO HOT BLOG reports that the announcement was made by the Chairman of the Commission, Hashim Abioye, through a Facebook Live broadcast on Saturday evening. According to Abioye, PDP candidates secured victory in all 332 wards, winning every councillorship seat, as well as all 30 chairmanship positions across the local government areas.
The election, which commenced as scheduled on Saturday morning, was overshadowed by controversy as security personnel reportedly sealed off the OSSIEC headquarters. This action, according to Abioye, prevented the distribution of key electoral materials to several polling units, raising concerns over the conduct of the process.
