EKO HOT BLOG reports that Olulade, who represented Epe Constituency 2 in the Lagos State House of Assembly between 2011 and 2019, voiced his concerns on Thursday in a statement from Lagos.
His comments come amid the regrouping of top opposition figures under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), with the goal of unseating President Bola Tinubu in the next general elections.
Olulade warned that the internal dynamics of the ADC coalition heavily favour a Northern candidate, even as names like Peter Obi, Atiku Abubakar, Rauf Aregbesola, Nasir El-Rufai, and Rotimi Amaechi continue to surface in the unfolding political realignment.
He argued that despite their public appeal, both Obi and Amaechi lack the political muscle to clinch the ADC presidential ticket, adding that zoning has helped sustain Nigeria’s democracy and should not be discarded for short-term political gain.
According to him, the ADC coalition appears more driven by personal ambition than any clear national vision.
“None of these so-called gladiators has shown a consistent track record of national development, either in or out of power,” he said, stressing that true nation-builders act beyond the electoral season.

Olulade warned Nigerians to stay alert as political figures rebrand themselves under new parties in pursuit of power, stating, “Nigeria is not for sale. Leadership is not a reward for ambition; it is a sacred duty.”
