The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has confirmed that six people lost their lives and 14 vehicles were destroyed in a fire following a tragic accident at Karu Bridge, Abuja, on Wednesday night.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that in a statement on Thursday, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, described the incident as devastating, revealing that a Dangote truck carrying cement lost control and crashed into stationary vehicles caught in traffic.
“At about 6:58 p.m. on March 19, 2025, a distress call was received at Karu Division reporting a horrifying scene. A Dangote trailer, heavily loaded with cement, lost control while approaching Karu Bridge from AYA and rammed into multiple vehicles, sparking a massive inferno,” Adeh stated.
