During the presentation, the FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Adewale Ajao, reiterated the Inspector-General’s commitment to police welfare, noting that the gesture goes beyond monetary assistance.
“These cheques represent more than financial support; they are a symbol of our respect, remembrance, and solidarity with the families of our fallen heroes,” Ajao stated.
He added that IGP Egbetokun’s administration is dedicated to establishing a responsive welfare system that motivates officers and gives them a sense of belonging.
The event was attended by senior officers of the command, representatives of partnering insurance companies, and family members of the deceased personnel.

Family members expressed their appreciation, describing the support as timely and thoughtful. Many noted that it would help ease their burdens and provide relief following the loss of their loved ones.
CP Ajao concluded by reaffirming the command’s commitment to honouring the sacrifices of its fallen officers and ensuring that their families are not forgotten.
