A fresh student of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo (RUGIPO), identified as Oluwaseun, has been gruesomely murdered by unknown assailants.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the deceased, a student of Mass Communication, was attacked at Opomulero Street in Owo, just weeks after gaining admission.

Oluwaseun, who also served as a course representative and was known for his musical talent, had only spent about a month on campus before the tragic incident. His brutal murder has left students and staff in shock.
A source close to the victim expressed disbelief, stating, “Oluwaseun was new on campus and couldn’t have been involved in any cult activities. His murder remains a mystery to us.”
The institution’s spokesperson, Samuel Ojo, confirmed the incident and described it as unfortunate.
Meanwhile, the Ondo State Police Command has launched an investigation to track down those responsible.
The police spokesperson, Funmi Odunlami, said, “Yes, it’s a case of suspected murder of one Seun Ojo Adeleye, an ND 1 student of Mass Communication. Our detectives are already working on the case, and the killers will be arrested soon and charged to court.”

The victim’s body has since been deposited at the State Specialist Hospital in Owo.
