EKO HOT BLOG reports that the estranged couple had a highly publicized fallout in January 2023, during which Berry accused Portable of neglecting their son, Akorede Badmus.
On Monday, Berry took to Instagram to share a message allegedly from Portable, in which he threatened legal action against her for denying him access to their child.
In the post, the ‘Zazoo Zeh’ singer claimed he stopped providing financial support after Berry blocked him from seeing their son.
“Bring my son before I make life unbearable for you. Hope you have a lawyer. I haven’t seen my son in two years,” the message read.
“I used to send money for food, but since you won’t let me see my son, how do you expect to keep getting money? Bring my son before I send people to look for you.”
Berry responded strongly, accusing Portable of previously expressing disinterest in their child. She warned that he would be held accountable if anything happened to her or their son and launched a scathing attack on the singer, calling him a “deadbeat father.”
“I consider this a threat. You said you wanted nothing to do with me and my son. If you don’t want misfortune in your life, don’t ever threaten me again,” she said.
“Everyone, if anything happens to me or my son, hold Portable—the deadbeat father—responsible.”
She further warned the singer that fatherhood isn’t something he can choose at his convenience.
“If you go low, I’ll go lower. If you bring fire to my door, I will bring hell to yours. You don’t get to pick and choose when to be a father. Alaye, come correct or stay away for life. And don’t ever disrespect me again,” she fired back.
“My son has nothing to learn from you. We don’t do empty talk here; evidence is everywhere. Okiki, don’t push me—you know me.”
Last year, Honey Berry introduced her new lover.
