Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has revealed plans to advance his education to strengthen his grasp of the business side of music.
Eko Hot Blog reports that although Portable already holds an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) from Kwara State Polytechnic, he believes further studies are crucial to navigating the complexities of the industry, including royalties and business contracts.

The “Zazu” crooner explained that his decision is aimed at gaining more control over his music career, particularly in managing his record label, LZeh Nation.
“I already have an OND from Kwara State Polytechnic, but I want to further my education to better understand my music royalties and business deals, especially for my record label,” Portable said.

He added that equipping himself with this knowledge will allow him to manage his music empire more efficiently and reduce dependence on others for guidance.
Portable’s announcement underscores a growing trend among artists who seek to combine creativity with business acumen to protect their interests and maximize their earnings.
