In a statement, the Department of Homeland Security confirmed the raids, stating, “Earlier today, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) New York executed law enforcement actions as part of an ongoing investigation, with assistance from HSI Los Angeles, HSI Miami and our local law enforcement partners.”
Aerial footage captured the dramatic scenes, with helicopters circling overhead and a substantial law enforcement presence surrounding Combs’ properties. Armed agents from the Department of Homeland Security were seen entering luxury homes associated with the rapper, known for his multifaceted career spanning music, fashion, and business ventures.
“Heavily armed agents could be seen all around the sprawling property, with footage showing unidentified individuals being detained at the scene,” the source reported, describing the raid on Combs’ Holmby Hills residence in Los Angeles.
Entertainment outlet TMZ even claimed to have obtained footage of Combs’ sons, Justin and King Combs, being handcuffed during the operation.
While the official reasons behind the raids have not been disclosed, the involvement of Homeland Security in such a coordinated effort across multiple locations suggests serious allegations against the hip-hop mogul.
Combs has faced mounting legal pressure in recent years, with at least four lawsuits accusing him of sexual abuse and misconduct. One of the accusers, Douglas Wigdor, a lawyer representing two of the women, expressed hope that the investigation would hold Combs accountable, stating, “Hopefully, this is the beginning of a process that will hold Mr. Combs responsible for his depraved conduct.”
