Actress Regina Daniels has publicly demanded that Senator Ned Nwoko stop interfering in her life, emphasizing that their union never had legal recognition.
Eko Hot Blog reports that in an Instagram statement early Sunday, Daniels admitted past drug use but insisted that the real problem stems from Nwoko allegedly isolating her from friends and family.

“Fine, I did drugs. So what? Is that really the issue?” she wrote. “Whenever we argued, you ran to the media shouting ‘drugs, drugs, drugs,’ creating a spectacle to distract from the real problem.”

She claimed Nwoko confiscated her phones for weeks to prevent communication with loved ones and confined her in a room, labeling her “mentally unstable” whenever she sought independence from the relationship.
Daniels added, “You want me completely alone and broken so I’ll have no choice but to return to you. For the record, I would have filed for divorce long ago if there had ever a legal marriage between us. Leave me alone, Ned. Marriage is not by force. Love is not by force. Stop trying to control what no longer belongs to you!”
This follows a viral video in October where Daniels tearfully expressed her struggles, saying: “In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing. But in my house, I am a queen. I can’t stand the violence, it’s too much.”

Recently, Nwoko’s petition led to the arrest of Daniels’ brother, Samuel Ojeogwu, on charges including criminal conspiracy, trespass, assault, intimidation, and theft. The court remanded him pending bail.
Nwoko later denied Daniels’ allegations, attributing her outbursts to drug and alcohol use and suggesting she needed rehabilitation.
