President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, on his re-election, describing the victory as a reflection of the people’s trust in his leadership and a validation of his developmental strides.
Eko Hot Blog reports that in a statement released on Sunday in Abuja, President Tinubu praised the peaceful conduct of Saturday’s governorship election, commending the people of Anambra, security agencies, and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for their roles in ensuring a credible process.

He described Soludo’s victory as historic, making him the third governor in Anambra to secure a second term, noting that the achievement symbolizes political stability and progress in the state.

“Professor Soludo’s re-election is a testament to his visionary leadership and the remarkable progress Anambra has recorded under his administration,” Tinubu said.
The President further applauded Soludo’s intellectual approach to governance, stressing that he has shown how knowledge and academic principles can drive accountability, transparency, and prudent management in public service.
Tinubu recalled his earlier visit to Anambra in May, where he inaugurated several projects executed by the Soludo administration, adding that the experience left a lasting impression.
“I commend Governor Soludo for bringing discipline, grace, and innovation to governance. Anambra, under his leadership, truly embodies its motto as the Light of the Nation,” he stated.

He urged the governor to extend a hand of friendship to his political opponents and focus on inclusive governance for the good of all citizens.
Tinubu also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) under Prof. Joash Amupitan for conducting a free and fair election, urging the commission to sustain the credibility of future polls.
The President reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to partnering with Anambra State to deepen development and democracy across the South-East region.
