Rep. Wale Raji pays tribute to late Alhaja Sherifat Oladipupo, assures Epe residents of light restoration

Alhaja Sherifat Oladipupo, fondly known as “Mama Prof,” passed away in the late hours of Thursday 23rd of January, 2025 and was laid to rest yesterday 24th according to Islamic rites.
Ekohotblog gathers that the burial, which took place at her residence, Eid street off Oke Òyìnbó Epe, drew a large gathering of family members, friends, and dignitaries who came to honor the memory of a woman described as a loving mother and a spiritual guide.

Rep. Wale Raji, representing Epe Federal Constituency, paid a heartfelt tribute to the late Alhaja Oladipupo, reflecting on her selflessness and devotion to her family and community.
“Mama Prof, as we use to call her, was a very good mother to us all. She was a caring woman, very religious, and always there as our special adviser and guardian.
In as much as we would miss her, we should also remember that death is inevitable. We can only pray that we live long and also an impactful lives,” he said.
The lawmaker offered prayers for her soul, saying, “May God Almighty grant her eternal rest, and may He guide the rest of us to live meaningful lives worthy of emulation.”
Speaking further, Rep. Raji addressed the electricity challenges affecting Epe residents, assuring the residence that steps are being taken to provide a lasting solution.
“I don’t like to just talk; I prefer when results speak for themselves. What I can say for sure is that serious efforts are ongoing to restore a lasting solution to Epe’s electricity problems,” he said, calling on residents to remain patient and optimistic as the work progresses.
The burial ceremony was attended by prominent community members, religious leaders, and well-wishers who described Alhaja Sherifat Oladipupo as a guiding light and a source of strength to many.
One family member remarked, “Mama Prof was a pillar of strength and wisdom in this community. Her advice and prayers were always a source of comfort.”
Another attendee said, “Her commitment to her religion and her people was remarkable. She lived an exemplary life.”
