The guest lecturer, Alhaji Sheikh I.O. Soliu, delivered a sermon centered on the inevitability of death and the importance of leading a righteous life.
He emphasized that every individual must one day return to their Creator, urging attendees to embrace good deeds and moral values.
“Death is an unavoidable journey that awaits us all. What matters most is the legacy we leave behind. We should strive to live in a way that benefits humanity and brings us closer to Allah,” Sheikh Soliu said.
In an interview, Hon. Saliu Adeniyi reiterated the cleric’s message, urging Muslims to uphold the virtues they embraced during Ramadan.
“Ramadan teaches us discipline, patience, and devotion to Allah. It is important that we do not return to sinful ways after the fasting period. Let us continue in righteousness, kindness, and service to humanity,” he advised.
He further described Alhaja Ramota Bankole as a dedicated leader whose contributions to the community and APC would never be forgotten.
“She was a strong pillar in our political and religious community. Her kindness, commitment, and leadership inspired many. We pray that Allah grants her eternal rest and rewards her good deeds,” Hon. Saliu added.
The event also featured a special prayer session for the late Alhaja Ramota Bankole, as well as prayers for the continued peace, progress, and prosperity of Eredo LCDA and Epe youth Division.
