The governor said his participation in the summit provided an avenue to discuss practical ways of connecting diaspora capital with opportunities in Lagos and creating jobs and other economic benefits.
He said he held discussions with diaspora investors and business leaders on how stronger partnerships could translate into tangible investments and opportunities for people in the state.
According to Sanwo-Olu, Lagos offers significant opportunities in sectors including infrastructure, technology and finance, describing the state as “Africa’s largest sub national economy.”
“As Africa’s largest sub national economy, Lagos is ready for deep, long term partnerships. The opportunities we are creating across infrastructure, technology, finance and other key sectors are significant and the time to invest is now,” he said.

The governor said his administration would continue to create an environment capable of attracting and retaining investors while strengthening partnerships with the private sector and Nigerians in the diaspora.
He added that the state was particularly interested in investments that could create employment, expand economic opportunities and further strengthen Lagos’ position as a leading business destination in Africa.
“We remain open for business and we will continue to build partnerships that create jobs and strengthen our position as Africa’s leading business destination,” Sanwo-Olu said.
