The Anambra State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared that Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s recent meeting with President Bola Tinubu is a desperate and futile attempt to prevent his defeat in the November governorship election.
Eko Hot Blog reports that according to the APC’s spokesperson, Okechukwu Modebe, Governor Soludo’s gesture of pledging support for President Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid is a political maneuver designed to create a false sense of endorsement.

Modebe stated that Soludo, a leader of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), cannot erase four years of alleged “misgovernance,” his disconnection from the people, and a series of “political miscalculations” with a single visit to Abuja.
Meanwhile, the APC is gearing up for the governorship election and the upcoming senatorial by-election in Anambra South, where Chief Azuka Okwuosa is confident of securing a decisive win.

In a contrasting report on his Facebook page, President Tinubu hailed the visit, noting that he was “pleased to welcome my friend of over two decades.”
The President mentioned that they discussed crucial matters, including ongoing reforms, security challenges, and the need to create opportunities for Nigerian youths.
He also shared his belief that “progressives” across party lines should collaborate to strengthen the country’s democracy and transform the economy.
