A former bank worker has recounted his chilling experience of how he narrowly escaped from the hands of suspected ritualists after boarding a commercial Sienna bus from Lagos Island to Epe.

Ekohotblog reports that the man, who pleaded anonymity for security reasons, narrated that the incident happened years ago when he was returning from a business meeting.

He recalled that he entered a bus that appeared normal, with other passengers, including a woman carrying a baby. However, things took a drastic turn.

“I was coming from the Island after a meeting and boarded a Sienna bus heading to Epe.

Everything seemed normal until I lost consciousness. When I woke up, I found myself and other passengers tied up in an unknown location,” he said.

According to him, the captors wasted no time in executing their gruesome plans.

They forcibly took the baby from the mother and struck a charm on her head, causing her to vomit blood uncontrollably into a calabash, a fate that soon befell others.

“They started using charms on us, and everyone began vomiting blood into a calabash after being struck.

At that moment, I knew I was in deep trouble. Meanwhile, my family had begun praying for me, and I was also silently calling on God,” he recounted.

However, when it got to his turn, something unexpected happened.

“When they hit the charm on my head, nothing happened. They tried again, and it still didn’t work.

The leader of the group, whom they called ‘Baba,’ was then summoned. I was terrified, but I kept praying,” he said.

The suspecting ritual leader attempted another charm, but it failed again. This prompted him to give a stern warning to the kidnappers.

“The Baba told them, ‘his blood must not touch the ground. Take him far away from here.’ That was how they untied me, blindfolded me, and took me to a riverside,” he narrated.

To his astonishment, the kidnappers placed him in a canoe, handed him ₦500, and instructed him to cross to the other side.

“When they removed the blindfold, I was already in a canoe. I later realized I had been dropped at the border in Ogun State.

They had taken everything from me, including my bag, which contained over ₦1 million meant for customers, my phone, and all my belongings,” he explained.

Local residents at the border took pity on him and assisted him in reaching his family.

“When I told them my story, they helped me contact my family, who later came to pick me up,” he said.
