Yahaya is said to have stabbed Kabiru Abdullahi twice within the span of 2 days, with Kabiru dying the second time he was stabbed ahead of being rushed to the Ebute Metta General Hospital.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that a transport worker identified as Ibrahim Yahaya has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly stabbing his colleague, Kabiru Abdullahi, to death during an argument at the Kanuri Motor Park in the Ebute Metta area of Lagos.
According to reports, the incident occurred on February 15, 2023, after an argument ensued between the two transport workers, which degenerated into a physical fight.

Yahaya was first stabbed in the head with a knife by Kabiru during the altercation and subsequently sought medical attention for his injuries.
However, the next day, February 16, 2023, Yahaya allegedly returned to the motor park and used a knife to stab Kabiru in the neck. Kabiru was immediately rushed to the Ebute General Hospital for treatment, but he died on the way. His corpse has been deposited at the Infectious Disease Hospital morgue in Yaba.
Confirming the arrest of the suspect, Lagos police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, disclosed that the police received information about the incident on February 16, 2023, around 3:15 pm. Hundeyin added that the altercation occurred on February 15, 2023, around 8:30 pm, where Abdullahi allegedly stabbed Yahaya with a knife on his head.
“The next day, February 16, 2023, around 2:30 pm, the said Ibrahim Yahaya, retaliated by stabbing Kabiru in his neck and the victim sustained severe injury. He was rescued and rushed to the general hospital, Ebute Metta where he later died,” Hundeyin said.

The police spokesperson also added that Yahaya had been arrested and would be prosecuted in accordance with the law. He further urged Lagos residents to desist from taking the law into their own hands but should report any grievances to the appropriate authorities.
