EKO HOT BLOG reports that the appointment was announced in a statement issued on Friday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
Namdas succeeds Dr. Dakorinama Alabo George, who resigned from the position to contest for an elective office in his home state.
A former lawmaker who represented the Ganye/Jada/Mayo Belwa/Toungo Federal Constituency of Adamawa State, Namdas served as the spokesperson of the 8th House of Representatives. He also contested in the recently concluded governorship primary election in Adamawa State.
Before his career in elective politics, Namdas built a reputation as a journalist and public relations practitioner. He also served as Chief Press Secretary to former Adamawa State Governor Boni Haruna.
In a separate appointment, President Tinubu named former federal lawmaker Patrick Obahiagbon as the Executive Director, Strategy and Commercial, of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC).
Obahiagbon replaces Engineer Omoregie Ogbeide-Ihama, who resigned from the position to pursue his political ambition in his home state.
The former lawmaker served in both the Edo State House of Assembly and the National Assembly before his latest appointment.
President Tinubu also reappointed Chukwuma Umeoji as the Executive Director, Corporate Services, of the NDPHC.

Umeoji, who represented Aguata Federal Constituency of Anambra State in the 9th House of Representatives, previously stepped down from the position to pursue his political ambition in his state.
According to the Presidency, his reappointment returns him to the role of Executive Director, Corporate Services, at the power company.
The Presidency stated that all the appointments take immediate effect.
