President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji on his re-election, describing the outcome of the governorship poll as a strong endorsement of continuity and effective governance.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Eko Hot Blog reports that the President said the result reflected the confidence of Ekiti voters in the leadership of the governor and his administration.
Tinubu urged Oyebanji to remain inclusive in victory and ensure that all residents of the state are carried along in the next phase of his administration.

He also called on other candidates who participated in the election to accept the outcome in good faith and join efforts to support the governor in advancing development in the state.
The President commended Oyebanji’s first-term performance, noting progress in key sectors such as infrastructure, agriculture, education, healthcare, youth employment, and rural development under his administration’s agenda.
According to him, the renewed mandate serves as further validation of policies centred on stability, continuity, and people-focused governance.
Tinubu reaffirmed the Federal Government’s readiness to work with the Ekiti State Government to deepen development initiatives and strengthen the implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

He also congratulated voters in Ekiti for conducting themselves peacefully during the election and praised security agencies for maintaining order throughout the process.
The President urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to continue improving the credibility of elections as attention shifts to upcoming polls in other parts of the country.
INEC had earlier declared Oyebanji the winner of the election, where he polled 319,224 votes to defeat his opponents across the 16 local government areas of the state.
With the victory, Oyebanji becomes the first governor in Ekiti State history to secure consecutive re-election.
