President Bola Tinubu has ordered Nigeria’s security agencies to track down the gunmen responsible for the midnight massacre of at least 30 residents, including eight children, in Naridon Village, located in the Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Eko Hot Blog reports that in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President described the invasion as a barbaric and cowardly act of terror directed against defenceless citizens.

He mandated the Armed Forces, the Nigeria Police Force, and intelligence agencies to scale up operations across affected areas to bring the perpetrators to justice swiftness and secure the safe release of kidnapped residents.
Extending his condolences to Governor Uba Sani, the people of Kaduna State, and the bereaved families, President Tinubu reiterated his administration’s commitment to strengthening national security infrastructure, equipping frontline personnel, and neutralizing criminal networks.
He also urged local communities to support ongoing security efforts by providing timely, actionable intelligence to facilitate swift operational responses.
The violent assault occurred on Sunday night around 11:00 pm, when heavily armed men invaded the border community, shooting indiscriminately and setting homes and business premises ablaze.
Local sources, including the Secretary to the Village Head, Mr. Dogon Rana, confirmed the severe casualties, noting that 22 members of a single family were among those killed.
In response to the tragedy, the Kaduna State Government has directed the State Emergency Management Agency (KSEMA) to provide immediate humanitarian relief to displaced families, while partnering with neighboring Plateau State authorities to strengthen security surveillance along their shared borders.
