EKO HOT BLOG reports that Akpabio arrived at the Villa at about 6:12 pm, followed by Oyetola, while Doguwa was seen entering the corridor leading to the President’s office at about 7:15 pm. Alake was also seen at the Presidential Villa within the same period.
The meetings came days after Governor Ademola Adeleke was declared the winner of the August 15 governorship election in Osun State, although the specific agenda of Oyetola’s meeting with the President was not immediately disclosed.
The purpose of the separate meetings between Tinubu and the other political figures was also not disclosed as of the time of filing this report.
Meanwhile, the African Democratic Congress has criticised the Tinubu administration over rising food prices, arguing that recent developments show the Federal Government has no clear solution to the rising cost of living in the country.
In a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, the opposition party accused the Tinubu administration of having “run out of ideas” in tackling the rising cost of food and other essential commodities.
The ADC said the government’s approach, which it claimed was focused mainly on core inflation figures, failed to address the daily economic difficulties faced by ordinary Nigerians.
The party called for a new approach that would place food security at the centre of national security, arguing that the government must take immediate steps to increase food production while reducing the cost of agricultural inputs, energy and transportation.

The ADC also called for improved security for farmers, the establishment of strategic food reserves and the introduction of measurable targets aimed at ensuring Nigerians can afford food while farmers receive better returns from their production.
