According to the statement, Femi Gbajabiamila remains the Chief of Staff to the President, while Hakeem Muri-Okunola continues to serve in his role as Principal Private Secretary. It stressed that there has been no change in the status of either official.

The Presidency attributed the viral claim to what it called mischievous purveyors of fake news, accusing them of attempting to create disharmony within the government.
It further advised media organisations and members of the public to always verify information before publishing or sharing content, particularly on social media platforms.
