President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended Christmas greetings to Christians in Nigeria and across the world, urging citizens to embrace peace, unity and compassion during the festive season.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that in a statement released on Christmas Eve, the President said the celebration of Christmas should remind Nigerians of the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, particularly the values of love, patience and sacrifice.
Tinubu thanked God for the opportunity to serve the nation and prayed for continued peace and harmony among Nigerians of different religious beliefs. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to protecting the rights of all citizens to worship freely and live without fear, regardless of faith or background.
The President commended Christians across the country for their contributions to nation building and their continued support for the poor and vulnerable in society. He noted that many Nigerians have continued to show kindness and goodwill, inspired by the example of Christ, especially in communities affected by hardship and insecurity.
Tinubu said that since assuming office in 2023, his administration has prioritised efforts to keep the country safe, united and stable. He stressed that every Nigerian deserves dignity, justice and protection under the law.
He also called for stronger cooperation among religious leaders and groups to prevent conflict and promote peaceful coexistence across the country.
Addressing Nigerians travelling for the holidays, the President urged motorists to exercise patience and obey traffic rules to ensure they return safely to their families and daily activities.
Tinubu expressed optimism that with faith, collective effort and shared responsibility, Nigeria will continue to move toward a more prosperous future for coming generations.

He wished all Nigerians a joyful Christmas celebration and extended his New Year greetings in advance.
