Eko Hot Blog reports that the administration of Otunba-Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA), has distributed free General Certificate of Education (GCE) forms to 200 school leavers within the council.
The initiative, now in its 5th edition, was held at the LCDA Secretariat Multipurpose Hall.
Since inception, the programme has benefitted over 1,000 residents, providing them with opportunities to further their academic ambitions and pursue career growth.
Speaking at the event, the Head of Education and Library Services Department emphasized the significance of the gesture.

The Tinubu–Ambode Support Group on Thursday, August 21, 2025, held a sensitisation campaign at the Epe Court Hall, Ita-Opo, Epe, to mobilise residents for the ongoing nationwide Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.

As part of efforts to ensure a smooth Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise, the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, Otunba-Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, has facilitated the training of 12 ward assistants to support residents across the six wards of the council.

Alara of Ilara Installs Six Prominent Personalities with Chieftaincy Titles
The Alara of Ilara Kingdom, Oba (Dr.) Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo (Telade IV), has installed six prominent Nigerians with honorary chieftaincy titles in recognition of their contributions to society and commitment to community development.

Among those honoured were Prof. John Obafunwa, Director-General of the Nigeria Institute of Medical Research (NIMR), who was installed as the Balogun of Ilara;
Mr. Jelili Olayemi; Prof. Kemi Pinheiro; Amb. Oluwatoyin Lawal, who was installed as the Bobaguwa of Ilara, alongside his wife, Mrs. Abiodun Lawal, who became the Yeye Bobaguwa; and Dr. Olanrewaju Obasa.

The Alara of Ilara Kingdom, Oba (Dr.) Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo (Telade IV), has installed Ambassador Oluwatoyin Lawal as the Bobaguwa of Ilara Kingdom, while his wife, Mrs. Abiodun Lawal, received the honorary title of Yeye Bobaguwa of Ilara.

Speaking after the conferment, Amb. Lawal expressed gratitude to the monarch and people of Ilara for the recognition.
“This honour is a call to service, and we are committed to working with Kabiyesi to advance the growth of Ilara Kingdom,” he said.
Mrs. Abiodun Lawal, the new Yeye Bobaguwa, also pledged her support, saying, “We will play our part in uplifting the development of this community, particularly in areas that touch the lives of women and children.”

Epe LG, Rotary Partner on Free Health Mission and Menstrual Care Project
Epe Local Government, under the leadership of Hon. (Princess) Surah Olayemi Animashaun, FHTI, has partnered with Rotary International District 9126, Rotary International District 5170, and The Rotary Foundation to launch the Rotary Health Mission & Menstrual Care Project 2.

It will feature general medical consultations, free distribution of essential drugs, laboratory investigations, distribution of sanitary pads to women and girls, as well as specialist ophthalmology and general surgeries.
Among the surgeries to be conducted are hernia repairs, hydrocele, undescended testis, lipoma excision, ganglion excision, ingrown toenails, benign breast lump excision, skin tag and subcutaneous mass removal, as well as keloid and hypertrophic scar excision.

The Alara of Ilara Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Alayeluwa Dr. Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo, Telade IV, celebrated his fifth coronation anniversary on Saturday with glowing tributes from dignitaries across Lagos State.

Lekki LCDA Chairman Installs 400 Solar Street Lights in Seven Communities
The Executive Chairman of Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali, has installed more than 400 solar street lights across seven communities in fulfillment of his administration’s promise to improve security and infrastructure.

The Ilara Kingdom in Epe, Lagos State, came alive over the weekend as the Alara of Ilara, Oba Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo (Telade IV), celebrated his fifth coronation anniversary.
With the anniversary came congratulatory messages from traditional rulers, state governors, political leaders, and eminent Nigerians across the country.
The three-day celebration, which began on Friday, August 15, was a rich blend of culture, religion, and community service.
Residents thronged the streets for a colourful parade, while a Jumat service, commemorative football match, free medical outreach, and empowerment programme featured in the commemoration of the milestone.
The festivities were expected to culminate with the conferment of chieftaincy titles on seven deserving individuals and couples recognised for their contributions to the development of Ilara Kingdom.

Over 300 Benefit from Free Medical Outreach in Ilara
More than 300 residents of Ilara, Epe Division, have benefitted from a free medical outreach organised as part of the 5th coronation anniversary of the Alara of Ilara Kingdom, Oba (Dr.) Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo.

Speaking during the outreach, Prof. Obafunwa explained that the gesture was inspired by the vision of the Alara to ensure the people of Ilara enjoy quality healthcare regardless of their economic status.

Alara of Ilara Empowers 300, Offers Free Medical Outreach at 5th Coronation Anniversary
The Alara of Ilara Kingdom, Oba (Dr.) Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo, on Friday empowered 300 indigenes and residents with vocational equipment to promote self-reliance and economic growth.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the distribution of sewing machines, grinding machines, hair dryers, and other tools took place during the first day of events marking the monarch’s 5th coronation anniversary in Ilara, Epe Division.
The initiative, facilitated by Olori Bolanle Ogunsanwo in collaboration with the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) and a non-governmental organisation, aimed to provide sustainable means of livelihood for the beneficiaries.
Oba Ogunsanwo urged the recipients to use the items judiciously, saying, “No fewer than 300 residents and indigenes benefitted from the empowerment programme.
