The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has announced the arrest of a 50-year-old widow and fashion designer, Mrs Ifeoma Henrietta Ezewuike, who attempted to traffic 1.3 kilograms of cocaine by pretending to be pregnant in order to evade scrutiny.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that the suspect, a mother of one and owner of Golden Star Creation, a fashion business located on Ago Palace Way, Okota, Lagos, was apprehended on Friday, August 22, 2025, at a bus terminal in Jibowu, Yaba, while trying to deliver the cocaine consignment to customers in Abuja.

The development was disclosed on Sunday in a statement by Femi Babafemi, Director of Media and Advocacy, NDLEA Headquarters, Abuja.

Babafemi added that a follow-up operation at her residence in Ago Palace led to the recovery of 200 grams of a cutting agent used in producing a strain of cocaine.
During interrogation, the suspect claimed she inherited the illegal trade from her late husband who died two years ago, while noting that she had been involved in the fashion business for 20 years.
