Top Nollywood actors came out in full support of their colleague, Ini Edo, as she laid her father to rest.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the actress announced her father’s passing in an emotional Instagram post on Monday, February 24, 2025. Describing him as her greatest cheerleader, Ini Edo expressed the deep pain of his loss but found solace in believing that heaven had gained an angel.

The Edo family honored their late patriarch with a befitting burial on Friday, March 21, 2025, in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital. Several Nollywood stars, including Uche Jombo, Rita Dominic, Desmond Elliot, Mary Remmy Njoku, Nancy Isime, IK Ogbonna, Lilian Afegbai, and Ruth Kadiri, attended the ceremony to offer their condolences.

Beyond her recent loss, Ini Edo has previously opened up about her personal struggles with motherhood. The actress, who has a 3-year-old daughter named Light, revealed that she faced multiple challenges carrying a pregnancy to term, leading her to opt for surrogacy.
