The operation also led to the arrest of two suspected arms manufacturers and suppliers believed to be linked to the illegal firearms network.
The military said the operation was carried out in close collaboration with other security agencies, underscoring the growing effectiveness of inter-agency cooperation in disrupting terrorist logistics and dismantling criminal networks across the North-West.
“The successful raid represents another major step in Operation Fansan Yamma’s sustained campaign to curb the proliferation of illicit arms and deny terrorists access to weapons used to perpetrate violence,” the statement said.
The suspects are currently in military custody and undergoing preliminary interrogation, while investigations have commenced to identify and arrest other members of the syndicate, uncover its financiers and collaborators, and dismantle the entire illegal arms supply network.
The Theatre Command commended the professionalism, dedication and commitment of the troops and partner security agencies that participated in the operation.
It also appealed to residents across the North-West to remain vigilant and continue providing timely and credible intelligence to security agencies, stressing that public cooperation remains essential to ongoing efforts to combat terrorism, eliminate criminal elements and improve security in the region.
