EKO HOT BLOG reports that Trump made the call on Tuesday via social media, noting that his representatives had engaged Israeli officials ahead of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s upcoming visit to Washington.
Trump stated, “Israel has agreed to the necessary conditions to finalize the 60-Day CEASEFIRE, during which time we will work with all parties to end the War.” He emphasized that mediators from Qatar and Egypt would deliver the final proposal to Hamas. “I hope, for the good of the Middle East, that Hamas takes this Deal, because it will not get better — IT WILL ONLY GET WORSE,” he warned.
Trump, who plans to meet Netanyahu on July 7, signaled he would take a firm stance during their talks. The ceasefire window follows the end of Israel’s 12-day conflict with Iran after a US airstrike on Tehran’s nuclear facilities, creating an opening for potential negotiations.
Despite the ceasefire push, Israel’s military operations in Gaza intensified on Tuesday. The civil defense agency in Gaza reported at least 26 deaths, while the Israeli army confirmed expanded operations targeting Hamas fighters and infrastructure across the Strip. Israeli tanks were seen mobilizing at Gaza’s border as airstrikes rocked neighborhoods.
The humanitarian crisis deepened as the Red Cross warned of overwhelmed hospitals, with most public health facilities either shut down or severely damaged. Gaza’s civil defense also reported the deaths of 16 civilians near aid distribution sites, further fueling outrage over the ongoing civilian toll.

Meanwhile, 169 aid organizations called for the end of the new US- and Israeli-backed aid distribution system, urging a return to UN-led mechanisms to prevent further loss of civilian lives.
