- Natasha Blocked From Entering National Assembly
- Aisha Yesufu accompanied Sen. Natasha
- Armed personnel was stationed at the main gate
The suspended senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan, made her way to the National Assembly on Tuesday as she followed through on her plan to resume duties, arriving with a crowd of supporters.
Eko Hot Blog reports that having earlier declared her intention to return to legislative activities on Tuesday, Akpoti Uduaghan arrived at the National Assembly complex precisely at 12:20 p.m.

Among those who accompanied her were well-known political activist Aisha Yesufu and numerous supporters.
However, security personnel prevented the suspended senator from entering the main building.
Security presence at the National Assembly had been significantly increased, likely in response to the senator’s announced plan to resume her duties.
Armed personnel stationed at the main gate included officers from the police, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Department of State Services, and the Sergeant at Arms.
This heightened security caused long queues of vehicles at the entrance to the legislative complex, as security operatives conducted thorough checks to ensure Akpoti Uduaghan could not bypass the measures and gain entry.

The Senate has reiterated, for the third time, that there is no existing court order requiring the chamber to recall the senator before her suspension ends.
Senate spokesperson Senator Yemi Adaramodu restated this position in a statement released on Sunday.
“This clarification becomes necessary, following the circulating claims by the suspended senator that she intends to resume at the Senate on Tuesday,” he said.
“This is based on a misinterpretation of the recent judgment delivered by Hon. Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court, Abuja.”
