We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Data Entry and Research Assistant

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The core role of the Data Entry and Research Assistant is to work with the Data Entry and Research officer to research and analyze documents, data and information on education, entrepreneurship and employability.
  • The Assistant will also gather data, conduct analysis, summarize and explain research findings and their implications for SOSFs expansion, program design and advocacy efforts.

Roles and Responsibilities
Gather and Interpret Data:

  • Gather relevant primary and secondary data from a wide variety of sources and use statistical methodologies to interpret this information. Analysis of such data.
  • Baseline survey of prospective expansion states

Develop Data Models:

  • Develop complex data models for use by SOSF decision-makers.
  • Periodically adjust these models based on new or emerging data.

Prepare Reports:

  • Prepare comprehensive baseline reports and presentations for management and relevant decision-makers.
  • Present data models to illustrate impact of this data on operations and performance, and draw conclusions about potential issues and opportunities.
  • Provide Recommendations to Management
  • Responsible for creating appropriate documentation to support effective requirements definition, including charts, graphs, and logic model diagrams as needed
  • Responsible for assessing research requirements and utilizing improved tactics for appropriate statistical programming and analysis.

Others:

  • Develop and maintain data and records within the SOSF database (including stakeholders, employees and students)
  • Check completed work for accuracy and make any required changes as necessary
  • Check source documents against entered data to ensure data integrity at every stage.
  • Prepare SOSF Weekly digests.
  • Generate statistical reports based on maintained data periodically.

Requirements
Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, IT, Management, Administration, Economics, or Information Science

Experience:

  • Experience with analytic tools
  • Ability to manage large data sets.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a similar role in a corporate or development setting.

Skills:

  • Analytical skills
  • Mathematical skills
  • Data modelling skills
  • Team collaboration
  • Familiarity with data modelling, including regression models.
