Job Summary:
Global Windsor Group is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Gallery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our gallery. The ideal candidate will manage exhibitions, events, and sales while building relationships with artists, clients, and collectors. This role requires strong leadership, marketing, and sales expertise to enhance the gallery’s presence and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the gallery’s daily operations, ensuring a well-maintained and inviting space.
- Maintain an organized inventory of artworks with proper cataloging and documentation.
- Oversee the installation and removal of exhibitions, ensuring the safe handling of art pieces.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with collectors, clients, and patrons to drive sales.
- Handle inquiries, negotiate sales, and facilitate transaction processes.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Plan and execute gallery events, including openings, artist talks, and workshops.
- Coordinate with artists, curators, and vendors to ensure seamless event execution.
- Promote exhibitions and events to attract visitors and potential buyers.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies, including social media campaigns, newsletters, and press releases.
- Maintain and update the gallery’s website and digital platforms with relevant content.
- Create promotional materials such as catalogs, flyers, and brochures.
- Recruit, train, and supervise gallery assistants, interns, and volunteers.
- Liaise with artists, curators, framers, and logistics providers to facilitate smooth gallery operations.
- Prepare and manage budgets for exhibitions and events.
- Monitor sales and expenses, providing periodic financial reports to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and operational procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Art, Art History, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in gallery management, art sales, or a similar role.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of art trends, artists, and the art market.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Expertise in sales, negotiation, and client engagement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM tools, and social media platforms.
- Experience with art handling and installation is an advantage.
