The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the results of the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for school candidates.

The examination body announced the development in a post on its official 𝕏 account on Wednesday, urging candidates to generate their Personal Identification Number (PIN) and check their results online.
“UPDATE: 2026 WASSCE (SC) results have been released. Generate your PIN at http://waec.org and check your results now on http://waecdirect.org,” WAEC stated.
How to Retrieve Your WAEC Serial Number and PIN
Candidates who do not have their serial number and PIN can retrieve them by following these steps:
Visit waec.org and select the “Serial Number and PIN” option at the top of the homepage.
Choose the appropriate examination year and examination diet.
Enter your examination number and your National Identification Number (NIN). Ensure the NIN matches the one used during WAEC registration.
Provide your email address and phone number to receive a One Time Password (OTP).
Enter the OTP to generate your serial number and PIN.
Candidates can also download their WAEC ID card to their mobile devices through the portal.
The 2026 WASSCE for school candidates was conducted between April 21 and June 19, 2026.
Approximately 1.96 million candidates from more than 24,200 secondary schools across Nigeria sat for the examination.
