The Member of the House of Representatives for Epe Federal Constituency and Chairman, House Committee on Livestock Development, Rep. Wale Raji, has celebrated the vibrant and progressive youths of Epe, describing them as “the shining stars whose energy and brilliance keep our communities moving forward.”
Eko Hot Blog reports that In his International Youth Day message, the lawmaker praised the resilience and innovation of young people across the constituency, noting their contributions to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals in agriculture, education, commerce, and technology.
“From the farms of Eredo to the classrooms in Epe, from the buzzing marketplaces of Mojoda to the youth-led digital hubs at Ogunmodede College, Epe Grammar School, Model College, Agbowa, and others, your actions are making the Sustainable Development Goals a reality right here at home,” he said.
Rep. Raji stated that he has deliberately involved youths in his legislative work, appointing some of the brightest young minds into his office to inject youthful insight, energy, and creativity into governance. “Together, we have driven policies and projects that speak directly to the needs of our people,” he added.
Highlighting youth-focused initiatives under his leadership, the lawmaker listed:
1. Building and upgrading schools and providing modern learning facilities in communities including Owu-Ikosi, Ilege, Ilara, Igbooye, Temu, Agbowa, Oko-Abe, Akodo-Ise, Ebute-Afuye, Epe Grammar School, Ogunmodede College, and AUD Primary School.
2. Expanding opportunities for MSMEs through skill empowerment programmes and start-up support.
3. Holding regular quarterly meetings with youth bodies to ensure their voices are heard and acted upon.
4. Keeping his office accessible and inclusive for every young person in the constituency.
“To the youth leaders in politics, workplaces, communities, and organizations, you are the heartbeat of progress in Epe Federal Constituency. Your courage to lead, your passion to serve, and your determination to innovate inspire us all,” Raji said.
He reaffirmed his commitment to creating more platforms, opportunities, and partnerships for youth growth, urging them to “keep dreaming, keep building, and keep leading,” as Epe, Lagos, and Nigeria look forward to their continued success.
