Armed bandits have abducted several residents, including a local government councillor, during a violent attack on Daudawa community in Katsina State.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the incident occurred late Monday night in Faskari Local Government Area, leaving the community in panic and uncertainty.

According to security analyst Bakatsine, the gunmen stormed the area under the cover of darkness and forcefully whisked away multiple people.
Among those kidnapped was Hon. Buhari Aliyu Daudawa, the councillor representing Daudawa Ward, whose whereabouts remain unknown.
“Yesterday night, bandits invaded Daudawa in Faskari LGA, Katsina State. They abducted several people including the ward Councillor, Hon. Buhari Aliyu Daudawa during the invasion,” Bakatsine posted on Tuesday.
The exact number of abducted persons has not been confirmed as of the time of this report.
Locals say the attackers struck when most residents had retired indoors, catching many off-guard.
Eyewitnesses reported sporadic gunshots and widespread fear during the invasion, which lasted several minutes.
No official statement has been released by the Katsina State Police Command regarding the incident.
Efforts to reach local authorities for comment were unsuccessful at the time of filing this report.
Meanwhile, residents are calling on security agencies to intensify patrols and rescue efforts in the troubled region.

The incident has raised fresh concerns about rising insecurity in the North-West, particularly rural areas vulnerable to banditry.
Community leaders have urged the government to prioritise the safety of public officials and ordinary citizens alike.
As tension grows, families of the abducted individuals remain hopeful for their safe return.
This latest attack adds to a troubling pattern of violence that continues to plague communities across Katsina State.
