The Federal Government has declared its readiness to collaborate with the United States and other international partners to eradicate the remaining terrorist and criminal elements threatening the nation’s peace.
Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, made this known during a world press conference held in Abuja on Wednesday.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Idris emphasized that Nigeria’s insecurity crisis is not driven by religion, noting that the administration of President Bola Tinubu has made significant progress in tackling the menace. He said the government’s efforts are reflected in the country’s improved ranking on the Global Terrorism Index and the recent overhaul of security leadership.
According to the minister, President Tinubu remains committed to strengthening regional and international partnerships aimed at restoring lasting peace and stability across Nigeria.
“The Nigerian government is willing to work with other international bodies, including the United States, to ensure that criminals are permanently wiped out,” Idris stated.
He added that the government appreciates the support of international partners, especially the US, in addressing security challenges while also acknowledging concerns raised over alleged human rights violations.

“President Tinubu is taking the lead to resolve all challenges with the US and other countries. Nigeria is not running away from the fact that we have a big insecurity situation. The government and people of Nigeria have taken note of the US stance over the alleged violation of human rights. President Tinubu is determined to confront and end security challenges,” Idris added.
