Trump claimed that before the intervention, Christian communities in Nigeria were facing severe attacks, particularly in regions affected by insurgency and extremist violence, leading to large-scale loss of life.

He said the situation had now improved following US involvement, adding that those behind the attacks had been significantly weakened.
According to him, “We recently struck Nigeria and largely ended the slaughter of great Christian populations.”

He further alleged that thousands of people, including women, children, and the elderly, had been killed in what he described as brutal attacks.
Trump also claimed that key militant leaders had been eliminated, which he said reduced the capacity of the groups responsible.
“They know that if they go further, the attack will be far greater… We hit them very hard. We knocked out their leader, their second leader, and their third leader,” he said.
