On Friday, the 14th day of April, the warmth of Hon Raji’s benevolence radiated as he bestowed a cumulative payment of 30,000 naira to over 140 senior citizens under the Wale Raji Elders Welfare Scheme.
This monthly payment covered January to March in fulfillment of his promise to provide a sustenance allowance of 10,000 Naira to his constituents.
In an exclusive interview with Eko Hot Blog, Hon Wale Raji reiterated his commitment to delivering the dividend of democracy to his constituency, particularly the population marked by gray hair and ancient wisdom.
“The elderly hold a special place in my heart, and we will continue to prioritize them, appreciate them for their contributions during their productive years, and make their lives more meaningful,” said Wale Raji, his eyes reflecting the genuine compassion that his words conveyed.
Hon Raji also explained that January, February, and March payments were missed due to the cash crunch occasioned by the CBN policy, hence the reason for the cumulative payments representing the commutative months.
He expressed his gratitude for the understanding displayed by his constituents.

Senior Legislative Aide to Rep. Wale Raji on General Administration, also in an interview with Eko Hot Blog, Mr. Bashiru Hassan, provided more insights about the program.
The figure, he said, represents a backlog of 10,000 each for all the 140 beneficiaries for January, February, and March 2023, which were not paid due to the cash crunch occasioned by the CBN’s Cashless Policy.
“He said the disbursement will be done from door to door of the beneficiaries till the last beneficiary is reached. He expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the beneficiaries for their understanding and perseverance throughout the period”.
The support and the prayers of the beneficiaries throughout the year, particularly during the electioneering period, are genuinely appreciated, he concluded,
Some of the beneficiaries were captured receiving the cash allowances as they showered praises on their benefactor.
Eko Hot Blog sighted an aged woman who received N60,000 cash as payment for three months.
Victoria Ogah One of the beneficiaries, Victoria Ogah, from Igboju, said she was happy to receive the benefit.
“I am happy to receive this money, and I thank Wale Raji for paying me allowances for three months. May God continue to make him greater,” she prayed.
Another beneficiary, Alhaji Adebanjo, thanked Raji for his benevolence of more than two years to the elderly.
