No fewer than 20,000 candidates are currently taking part in the Nigerian Air Force’s 2025 Basic Military Training Course (BMTC) 46 zonal aptitude test across various parts of the country.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the exercise is holding simultaneously in 15 zonal centres, including Sokoto, Minna, Kaduna, Kano, Bauchi, Maiduguri, Yola, Makurdi, Jos, Ilorin, Ipetu-Ijesa, Enugu, Benin, Port Harcourt and Ikeja.

Confirming the development in a statement, the Air Force spokesperson, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, said the nationwide spread of the exercise reflects the service’s commitment to fairness, transparency and equal opportunity for qualified Nigerians.

Ejodame noted that the large turnout highlights the confidence Nigerian youths continue to place in the Air Force as a disciplined and professional institution.
He added that the recruitment drive comes at a critical time when the nation requires increased manpower to strengthen internal security and defence operations.

According to him, the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, has directed that the entire process be conducted strictly on merit, with integrity and adherence to established standards.
The Air Force further assured Nigerians that the aptitude test is a key step in building a capable, motivated and combat-ready force committed to protecting lives and property in line with its constitutional mandate.
