EKO HOT BLOG reports that the examination body confirmed the development in a statement posted on its official 𝕏 account on Friday night. It also issued an apology for the disruption that led to the temporary withdrawal of the results earlier announced.
“The result portal is up again. Candidates can now access, check and recheck their results for the WASSCE (SC), 2025. Once again, we sincerely apologize for the mishap and appreciate your understanding and support,” WAEC stated.
This update follows WAEC’s earlier announcement on Thursday that it had embarked on a comprehensive review of the 2025 WASSCE results. The review, according to Acting Head of Public Affairs, Moyosola Adesina, became necessary after the detection of technical glitches and bugs in the system.
The council disclosed that the glitches were discovered during paper serialization in Mathematics, English Language, Biology, and Economics. As a result, access to the result-checking portal was temporarily suspended while corrections were made.
WAEC has urged all candidates who checked their results before the suspension to recheck them to ensure they have the updated and correct scores.
The council assured stakeholders that the review process was aimed at maintaining the credibility and accuracy of its examinations, stressing its commitment to delivering transparent and reliable results.
