EKO HOT BLOG reports that the presidential aircraft landed at exactly 12:52 p.m., marking the start of a schedule that will see the President inaugurate major infrastructure projects executed by Governor Hope Uzodimma’s administration. Among them are the reconstructed 60-kilometre dual carriage Owerri–Mbaise–Umuahia Federal Road, the Assumpta Flyover, and the 6,000-capacity Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Centre.
Tinubu is also expected to attend the public presentation of Governor Uzodimma’s new book titled “A Decade of Impactful Progressive Governance in Nigeria.” The publication captures Nigeria’s democratic journey and governance milestones achieved under the All Progressives Congress (APC) over the past decade.
In a statement ahead of the trip, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, confirmed that the visit was both developmental and commemorative. He disclosed that, in addition to the projects earlier listed, the President would commission the renovated Imo Concorde Hilton Hotel and the state-of-the-art Imo Digital Learning Centre.

“These projects underscore the shared commitment of the Federal and State Governments to infrastructure renewal, modernisation, and sustainable development,” Onanuga stated.
The visit is seen as a significant endorsement of Governor Uzodimma’s infrastructure drive, while also highlighting Tinubu’s administration’s pledge to support states in executing developmental projects that directly impact citizens’ lives.
