The Organising Committee of the Epe Division Community Annual Awards (EDCAA) has officially released the list of shortlisted candidates for the 2025 (6th edition) of the prestigious annual recognition event.
Eko Hot Blog reports that according to the committee, the selection followed a thorough screening and detailed background check to ensure transparency and fairness in the nomination process.

“This year’s edition aims to celebrate individuals and organizations whose impact continues to drive growth, unity, and excellence across Epe Division,” the committee stated.

“We remain committed to discovering new talents and honoring fresh faces who are redefining service and leadership in our community.”
The shortlisted categories span leadership, education, youth influence, entertainment, philanthropy, and community service, reflecting the diverse achievements of Epe’s vibrant population.
In the Epe Division Man of the Year category, the nominees include Otunba Segun Raheem, Otunba Felix Awolaja, Hon. Fatai Mojeed, and Hon. Bayo Balogun, while the Ambassador of the
Year (Female) list features notable personalities such as Mrs. Ramat Bola Kasali, Hon. Dolapo Odufisan, Hon. Mojisola Christiana Yusuf, and Mrs. Hajarat Oluwatoyin Kunle-Lawal.
The committee also emphasized inclusivity in its decision-making process. “While we recognize the efforts of past awardees, we are equally focused on giving room for emerging achievers who are making remarkable strides in various fields,” the statement added.
This year’s edition also shines a spotlight on educators, with three dedicated categories celebrating outstanding teachers in public primary, junior, and senior secondary schools.
Additionally, the Media Company of the Year category includes well-known platforms such as Eko Hot Blog, Epe Lawa/Radio Lagos, Epe News,
LagosTrend, GUTS FM 104.5, and Kakalistiq Media, acknowledging their role in promoting information dissemination and community development.
The committee further announced that the online voting link will go live on November 1, 2025, after which voting will commence immediately.
“We appreciate everyone who took part in the nomination process,” the committee concluded.
