The partnership follows earlier engagements in July 2025 between the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, and senior UAE government officials and development partners.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Olawande described the collaboration as “a promise to equip Nigerian youth with the skills, tools, and opportunities they need to thrive in a fast-changing digital world.”
He expressed appreciation to the government and people of the United Arab Emirates for their support and hospitality.
“What we celebrate today goes beyond Nigeria,” Olawande said. “It represents shared responsibility, shared progress, and shared hope for the youth of both nations.”
The UAE Digital School, led by Dr. Waleed Al Ali, provides digital learning opportunities to underserved communities worldwide.
Through the partnership, Nigeria will leverage the school’s digital infrastructure, content, and technical expertise to strengthen digital inclusion and youth-focused education nationwide.

The minister also commended Sapphital Limited, the ministry’s technical partner, for its contributions to NiYA and other digital empowerment initiatives. He further praised the ministry’s team for their commitment to advancing the project.
According to the ministry, the collaboration is expected to accelerate Nigeria’s digital transformation agenda by providing modern, skill-based learning that prepares young people for the future of work.
