Bassey, in a series of posts on X, called for divine judgment upon terrorists, kidnappers, bandits, and anyone backing violent attacks across the country.

He insisted that Nigeria is a great nation under spiritual contention, urging citizens to remain prayerful while demanding courage from the government and security agencies.
He referenced Deuteronomy 7, stressing that Nigeria must confront its enemies to fulfil its prophetic destiny. According to him, the country cannot continue to ignore the growing evil destroying lives and communities.
The gospel singer further warned that silence in the face of terror only empowers those determined to destabilise the nation.

He prayed that perpetrators of violence would meet their end and declared that peace must return to Nigeria.
Bassey reaffirmed that the country will prosper, insisting that those fueling insecurity will be defeated.
His comments come at a time when several violent incidents have rocked the North, including the recent abduction of 25 schoolgirls in Kebbi State.
Other celebrities, including Funke Akindele and Falz, have also spoken out, urging the government to tackle the worsening insecurity before it spirals further out of control.
