The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has alleged that the recent escalation of terrorist attacks across the country is being fuelled by internal saboteurs undermining Nigeria’s security architecture.
Eko Hot Blog reports that in a statement issued on Saturday, the party’s spokesperson, Seye Oladejo, claimed that certain individuals within the security and political space were aiding terrorist groups by leaking classified information, disrupting security operations, and deliberately weakening national defence efforts.

Oladejo said the pattern of recent attacks suggested insider collusion, citing what he described as the attackers’ unusual precision in knowing troop movements, unexplained breakdowns at security checkpoints, and spikes in violence coinciding with politically sensitive periods.
He further accused unnamed political actors of amplifying terrorist propaganda and exploiting insecurity to gain political advantage.
“These are not random incidents. They reflect a disturbing level of betrayal,” he said.
The Lagos APC urged the Federal Government to identify and prosecute those allegedly sabotaging security operations, insisting that only insiders could enable such coordinated breaches.

The statement reaffirmed the party’s confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership and his “ruthless, intelligence-led strategy” against terrorism. It also commended the Armed Forces for their resilience despite what it described as acts of sabotage by “a few bad eggs.”
Oladejo warned individuals allegedly aiding terrorist activities that their “network will soon be uncovered,” stressing that Nigeria would overcome its current security challenges.
“Nigeria will not be brought to its knees to satisfy the ambitions of saboteurs or external interests,” the statement concluded.
