The All Progressives Congress in Abia State has endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term following its stakeholders meeting held on Saturday.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the party leaders also passed a vote of confidence on Senator Orji Uzor Kalu who represents Abia North, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Hon Benjamin Okezie Kalu and other elected officials on the platform of the party.

The stakeholders further announced that the electronic registration of APC members will begin across the seventeen Local Government Areas of the state, with a directive that the exercise must be seamless and well coordinated.
In a communique signed by the State Chairman Dr Kingsley Ononogbu, the Secretary Chief Chidi Avajah, Hon Chris Nkwonta and Senator Nkechi Nwaogu CON, the party reaffirmed its total support for President Tinubu and aligned fully with what it described as his ongoing transformative achievements. It added that members are committed to working strategically towards his successful reelection.
The communique noted that the Abia APC remains united under the leadership of Chief Dr Kingsley Ononogbu and urged stakeholders to uphold unity and collective purpose in all party activities.
The State Working Committee was directed to begin the electronic registration exercise immediately, while leaders across the seventeen Local Government Areas and wards were instructed to mobilise extensively to ensure a smooth and comprehensive process. New members are to register only at their wards in line with the APC Constitution.
Stakeholders expressed satisfaction with the renewed unity and cooperation currently being enjoyed among party leaders. They also encouraged increased grassroots mobilisation and the attraction of new members to strengthen and expand the party’s structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The party resolved to work tirelessly to secure victory in the next polls, including taking the Abia Government House and winning all elective positions in favour of the APC.

The Abia APC also passed a vote of confidence on Hon Benjamin Okezie Kalu, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, Hon Chris Nkwonta who represents Ukwa East and West Federal Constituency and Hon Emmanuel Ndubuisi who represents Bende South State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly.
