Veteran Nigerian music icon, Innocent “2Face” Idibia, has opened up about his first son, Nino, and the unexpected career path the teenager has chosen for himself.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the revelation came during 2Face’s 25th anniversary celebration in Abuja, where the legendary singer invited Nino on stage to acknowledge his presence and support.

Addressing the cheering audience, 2Face proudly described his son as a gifted saxophonist but noted that the young talent has no plans to follow him into the music industry.
Instead, Nino has expressed a desire to become a medical doctor, a decision his father said he respects and fully supports.

The “African Queen” crooner introduced him with enthusiasm, urging the crowd to “make some noise” for Nino before revealing the teenager’s preferred career path. The audience responded with loud applause, celebrating the young Idibia’s clarity and ambition.
Born on January 15, 2006, to 2Face and his former partner, Sumbo Adeoye, Nino has grown into a multifaceted creative known not just for his musical skills but also as a model and social media personality.
His choice to pursue medicine sets him apart in an industry where many celebrity children naturally drift toward entertainment.

Interestingly, Nino’s decision contrasts with the growing trend of star kids joining the music scene.
Recently, Wizkid’s first son, Boluwatife Balogun, made headlines after debuting his own EP, Champions’ Arrival, under the stage name Champz at just 14.
Nino’s path, however, signals a different kind of legacy one 2Face proudly says he is ready to support every step of the way.
